A Postgraduate Training Programme for Veterinary Surgeons involved in providing elephant tranquillisation services to religious, cultural and State functions will be held on December 3, at the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya.

The programme is organised by the PGIS in collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences of the University of Peradeniya and supported by Diyawadana Nilame, Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara who is also the President of the Sri Lanka Captive Elephant Owners' Association.
