Don't thank the driver. It was his fault. You are not supposed to stop a vehicle on the railway crossing for any reason. If the road is not clear in front he should have stopped the bus before the crossing and waited for the traffic to move forward till a gap opens on to which he can drive on the other side of the rail gate.

In United States School Bus drivers have to open the door and listen before they cross a railway track even when the gate is open and the green light is on.

thats a narrow escape indeed,
I'd have to agree with weli polanga in this, coz most of our pvt bus drivers r so careless sometimes they just think about the time  and money. not the safety of passengers,
Anyway glad u all r ok, !
Best way to attract others is to keep your self Cool when others are hot at u !
