I got this form a email, And It's a true story. Please read this story and try to do something... We all have to do something for her. At least a pray... she deserve it !

Hello All....

Attached herewith is the sad story, published on the SundayTimes, February 24, 2008 about "Samitha Samanmali" who has met with a very serious accident happened at the BMICH recently. (please reach the same doc from ).

She had been doing her studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo as a 3rd year Medical Student by then. She has had her medical treatments in the Neural Surgery ICU of the General Hospital Colombo for 1 week, and at this moment she is in the ward no 73.

Doctors say that her spinal cord has been serously dameged( 90% badly) and hope you can also understand how worst the situation she has faced is. Doctors have said that the one and only way of saving her life and giving her functionality (up to some extent)back is that ,she has to be sent abroad as soon as possible for "Rehabilitation Exercises" which costs around 20 million rupees (200 lacks).
Samitha Samanmali is a past student of Gothami Balika Vidyalaya and she currently lives in Piliyandala. Her father has passed away in March, 1995. Her mother has also undergone a hysterectomy for uterine cancer and her sister is an A/L commerce teacher at Kotte Ananda Shasthralaya. She is married and a mother of two children. It is evident that Samitha has minimal support from her family at this situation.

The 'Student Rehabilitation Fund' has been set up by the Colombo Medical Faculty, seeking to help Samitha in the rehabilitation process that she will face. "Please help swell the fund," is the earnest appeal of the medicos. Your kind contributions in any aspect regarding this process are highly appreciated. Please be helpful to save her life.

Kind donors are requested to channel their support to Account No. 7620252 at the Bank of Ceylon, Regent Street branch.
