Title: The Egyptian Book of the Dead
Post by: Sachitha on November 13, 2005, 12:30:08 PM

For millennia, the culture and philosophy of the ancient Egyptians have fascinated artists, historians, and spiritual seekers throughout the world. Now, this reissue of a Chronicle Books classic brings to light once more the legendary 3,500-year-old Papyrus of Ani--the most beautiful of the Egyptian funerary scrolls ever discovered. Restored to its original sequences, the elaborately bordered papyrus conveys its intended sense of motion and meaning in a way no other book on the subject can match. From mysticism and philosophy to anthropology and astronomy, this sumptuous volume will appeal to casual readers, serious scholars, and the generally inquisitive mindDownload

I was trying to look for the book "The Egyptian Book of the Dead" and I stumble on finding instead "The Tibetian Book of The Dead" in one of our bookstores here in the Philippines. It costs PhP1,699.00. It is also tagged as 30.00!

Its a collectible item - gray, hardbound with blue title and writings, formally presented! Is it worth reading? I saw it is a book from the writings of the Dalai Lama....

Has anyone read it?

No.... We believed that when one dies, he/she sleeps. When the Kingdom of God reigns ... he/she will be judged - to have an eternal life with Him or thrown in the "Lake of Fire" (Revelation 20)! :)

We Christians do not believe in Reincarnation. :)

We may have different beliefs but we have to respect one's belief coz no matter what religion we have, as long as we are GOOD, I know, we will be SAVED!
