WikiLeaks & SRI LANKA - "A LEGITIMATE RESPONSE TO UNPROFESSIONAL DIPLOMACY"
As you all know, Wikileaks recently released US
diplomatic confidential briefings exchanged between the State
Department in Washington and the embassies in other countries
throughout the world. Among them, there are many cables exchanged
between the State department of Washington and the American embassy
in Sri Lanka.
According to Wikileaks, the US diplomatic body in Sri Lanka and other interested parties had acted with anger, hatred trying to settle their political scores against Sri Lanka and have given no room for the truth.
Consequences of this unacceptable behavior, are now experienced by the Sri Lankans; for a crime which they have not created. As a matter of fact, they have a right to speak against this injustice.
This segment - "a legitimate response to unprofessional diplomacy" takes facts one by one providing a true insight to the issue and speaks to the whole world on Sri Lankans’ behalf.

7. (S) Mano Ganesan, MP and leader of the ethnic Tamil Democratic People’s Front (DPF), is a Colombo-based Tamil who counts as supporters many of the well-educated, long-term Colombo and Western Province resident Tamils, and was an early supporter of Fonseka. The general made promises that convinced him that if Fonseka were to win, ethnic reconciliation issues would then be decided by parliament, not the Executive President. On accountability, Ganesan told us that while the issue was significant XXXXXXXXXXXX accountability was a divisive issue and the focus now had to be on uniting to rid the country of the Rajapaksas.
9. ------------ BUTENIS
To begin with, we would like to remind these separatists and all other interested parties, Sri Lanka has only one community; that is "SRI LANKANS".
Mano Ganesan is a LTTE supporter and a decent terrorist. He even had addressed LTTE terrorist’s events to commemorate their slain LTTE terrorists. There is more evidence to prove his affiliation with the pro-LTTE elements; trying to lift the ban for LTTE while attending to so called "Peace committees", asking the biased international community to intervene for an international investigation on alleged war crimes are only few instances he had been acting anti-Sri Lankan while Ganesan being a Sri Lankan.
How ethical is that to ask the foreign bodies to interfere the internal matters of an independent and sovereign county?
Though Mano Ganesan claimed to have the support of "well-educated Tamils in Colombo and Western province", it is quite doubtful whether a well-educated would think of supporting such a terrorist; only pro-LTTErs, separatists and for personal gains people will flock around him. But during the recently concluded General Election, Mr. Mano Ganesan lost the support of his "well-educated Tamils in Colombo and Western province". He could not even secure 1% out of the total number of votes. So then it would definitely be the "well-educated Tamils in Colombo" had chased him out of the Parliament. Rejecting Mano Ganesan means rejecting terrorism by the general Tamil community in Sri Lanka. Also, Sri Lankans have rejected the concept of terrorism.
As per this decent terrorist called Mano Ganesan,
Sarath Fonseka has promised him to address the ethnic reconciliation issues via the Parliament.
In spite of having the Tamil Language legislated as an official language, in spite of having both Sinhala and Tamil languages in Sri Lankan Currency; in spite of having represented Tamils and others in the National Flag what more reconciliation are they asking for ?
This sounds like they want a separate land. Sri Lanka is a small country and what is their to divide ?
Sri Lanka is the only country among the United Nations which represents the Tamil people in the National Flag. Tamil population is 13% out of the total population of the country. If it was in South Africa, it would have been justified them asking for a separate land, as South Africa is the origin of Tamils and a big land for splitting. They could even get the support of Madam Navaneethan Pillay (United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights) for this splitting as she is very supportive of Tamils.
And these LTTE-sympathizers like Mano Ganesan are asking for a half of the country for the Tamils, which is the hilarious part of this "liberation struggle concept".
However, instead of ridding the country of Rajapaksas, Mano Ganesan found himself kicked out of the Fonseka’s alliance.
